Any reasonably fit person can reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro with the assistance of our Guides and Porters. It takes 3 - 4 days to walk across to the summit and 2 days to climb down. There are several ways to reach the top: Machame (to the south west); Shira – Londorosi / Lemosho (to the west); Rongai / Laitoktok to the north; Umbwe to the southeast; Marangu route (to the east) being the most popular. Our schedules, trails, types of mountain huts and camping accommodation are all designed to allow you time to acclimatize. Our Porters and Cooks will fetch water, prepare your food (3 well balanced meals) and carry some of your baggage during your climbing expedition at the mountain.  Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is just like climbing a staircase or walking from the Equator to the Arctic Circle and back in 6 days. Your expedition will start in Moshi Town (800m / 2630 feet above sea level) being taken by our vehicles to any of our Kilimanjaro Mountain check points (gates).

ZONE I:

Lying from 800 – 1,800 meters (2,624 – 5,905 feet) the mountains lower slopes – grassland and cropland.

ZONE II:

Range from 1,800 – 2,800 meters (5,905 – 9,167 feet) the mountains forest zone.

ZONE III:

Range from 2,800 – 4,000 meters (9,187 – 13,200 feet) is made up of heath and moorland.

ZONE IV:

Range from 4,000 – 5,000 meters (18,120 – 16,400 feet), only the hardiest life can survive. Nights are below 0°C (32°F) and daytime temperature can reach 40°C (104°F).

ZONE V:

Range from 5,000 – 5,895 meters (16,400 – 19,340 feet) characterized by arctic conditions, oxygen is almost 2/3 (two thirds) that at the low lands.

(4): RATES FOR BALOON SAFARIS AT SERENGETI IS US $ 425 PER PERSON PER TRIP.

The balloons fly over the plains above thousands of migrating wildebeest, zebras, impala, gazelles, birds and predators. Tourists in the air can watch animals and birds from above within a short range. Thus, an excursion in the famous Serengeti national Park, the zenith of satisfaction is achieved by finding vantage points from where one can watch the captivity scenery rich in natural fauna & flora. It provides the biggest opportunity to view wildebeest and zebras followed by predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas migrate across the vast plains and landscape in search of land with plenty of grass and water. A balloon safari per trip costs US $ 425 per person – being additional payment.

Ngorongoro Highland Hiking is not within Ngorongoro Crater. It is 43 kms. away from the Ngorongoro Crater gate entry checkpoint. Ngorongoro Highland lies to the northwest 358 kms. away from Moshi Town - Kilimanjaro Region. Ngorongoro highland has some fine open ridges that are ideal for driving or walking and as well is a good area to consider if you want to do something apart from Meru and Kilimanjaro Mountain Climbing. To the southwest the land drops steeply to the area around Lake Eyasi, and to the North where runs the lake Eyasi escarpment called Ol Donyo Ailipi, an ancient fault line that is part of the rift valley system; to the North East one walk to  the Mountain of gods Ol Doinyo Lengai very near to Lake Natron. (6): GUIDED USAMBARA  MOUNTAIN RANGE TREKKING & TOURS OR LUSHOTO - AMANI CAMPING SAFARI.

The Usambara Mountain range Trekking & Tours starts at Lushoto Village, which is 326.7 kms. away from Moshi Town - Kilimanjaro. A large area of the Usambara Mountain range is not volcanic like other mountains you will experience in Tanzania, but was created by uplift where edges consist mainly almost of sheer escarpments. It is an interesting area for walking and trekking, which contrast sharply with the wilderness areas of Meru / Kilimanjaro and with the Maasai areas of the Ngorongoro highland and the Ngorongoro Crater itself. The Usambara Mountain range is a Nature reserve because of their species richness, tremendous biodiversity and water catchments values. Visitors are able to undertake some activities like game viewing, enjoying natural beauty or site seeing, hiking, camping, walking, picnics and learning.
